Check your places,
not a percentage.

A network name or national coverage statistic cannot tell you how your phone will work in a particular room.

Start with the provider's map

Open the map for the exact plan you are considering. Boost's coverage page describes predicted outdoor coverage on the Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Network. Belong's map concerns its own service on parts of the Telstra network. amaysim's coverage page covers its Optus-network service. These are different service footprints; do not substitute one map for another.

Check several real locations

  1. Search your home, workplace or campus, regular route and any regional destination you visit often.
  2. Check the applicable 4G and 5G layers, and whether your device supports them.
  3. Read the map's limitations. Boost says its predictions are for outdoor use and actual experience can change with buildings, terrain, network load and the handset.
  4. If reception is critical, ask the provider about the plan and test with an eligible SIM where possible before relying on it.
